Well, here it be ! - Its taken me a while to get round to starting this bloggy thing, and who knows, I might not update it regularly, but then again .....

I started fiddling about with wood late in life, I took Metalwork at skool, well, practically everyone did, I was brought up in the steel making area of Middlesbrough after all. Yes I hadput a few shelves up and, like most others, wrestled with flat pack rubbish, but TBH I did`nt even know the difference between hardwood and softwood until a few years ago. Having prompted by my esteemed girlfriend just 2 years ago into doing some woodturning, ( she bought me my very first, and second lathes :-)) ) I have not looked back. I have found it to be a fascinating "Hobby", theres so much to learn, so many different aspects and a huge diversity in finished "product"

Anyway, this is intended to be my fiddling blog, what I make, I will photograph and post here
